General Dermatology
Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with the skin and diseases of the skin. It concerns the study, research and diagnosis of normal skin and disorders of the skin. Cancers, cosmetic and aging conditions of the skin, fat, hair, nails, oral and genital membranes are all aspects of Dermatology.
Some of the most common disorders of the skin include eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, acne, atopic dermatitis, and lesions. Often, other undetected diseases and disorders manifest themselves through the skin, making it even more important that you schedule an appointment for any skin concerns. Rashes, bumps or unusual appearances on your body could be a sign of an undiagnosed disorder.
At your first appointment you can expect to be asked questions about your family history, your skin history and any other concerns you may have. It’s important to ask your doctor about any questions you may have regarding your skin, from concerns about moles or rashes to skin care and anti-aging treatments.
In addition to our General Dermatology clinic, we also have a full-service Aesthetics Center staffed with full time licensed Aestheticians specializing in skin care, injectables and body sculpting.
